HauntShift SMS Terms and Conditions

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern participation in the HauntShift SMS Notifications program and supplement the general HauntShift Terms of Service.

HauntShift provides operational SMS notifications to staff members and volunteers who explicitly opt in. HauntShift does not send promotional, advertising, or third-party marketing messages through this SMS program.

SMS Program Overview

Program purpose: HauntShift provides operational SMS notifications to staff members and volunteers who explicitly opt in.

Message types may include:

schedules
shift assignments
schedule changes
attendance reminders
staffing requests
emergency alerts
event communications
account notifications

Opt-In Terms

Users opt in through a web-based form. The SMS consent checkbox starts unchecked, is optional, is never preselected, and must be actively selected by the user. Leaving the checkbox unchecked keeps SMS disabled. Consent is not a condition of employment or participation, and managers cannot send SMS to users who have not explicitly opted in.

Example messages may include:

HauntShift: Your verification code is 482913. This code expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
HauntShift: Reminder from Pennhurst Asylum: your shift starts today at 6:30 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
HauntShift: Pennhurst Asylum assigned you to a new position. Log in to view details. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
HauntShift: Pennhurst Asylum needs coverage tonight at 8:00 PM. Check HauntShift if available. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Message Frequency, Rates, and Support

Message frequency varies based on scheduling activity, staffing needs, operational alerts, and account events. Message and data rates may apply. Users are responsible for charges imposed by their wireless carrier.

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to network availability and successful transmission by the user's wireless carrier.

Opt-Out Terms

Users may opt out at any time by replying STOP. After opting out, users may receive one final confirmation message. After opting out, users will not receive additional HauntShift SMS messages unless they opt in again through an allowed method.

Mobile Number Responsibility

Users must provide a mobile phone number they are authorized to use. Users must notify HauntShift if their mobile number changes or is reassigned.

Privacy and Mobile Information

Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent records, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers may process mobile information only as needed to provide the SMS service and remain subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality obligations. For more information, review the HauntShift Privacy Policy.
