Welcome to HauntShift ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HauntShift website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using HauntShift, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Overview
HauntShift is a digital platform built for haunted attraction and event organizations to manage staff scheduling, communication, attendance, and performance tracking.
2. Eligibility
- Users must be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent.
- Users must have authority to agree to these Terms on behalf of themselves or their organization.
- All registration details must be accurate and kept up to date.
3. Accounts and Security
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activity under their account. HauntShift may suspend or terminate accounts involved in unauthorized access or misuse.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use HauntShift for unlawful, harmful, or deceptive activity.
- Upload or distribute viruses, bots, or malicious code.
- Attempt to access data belonging to other users or organizations.
- Disrupt, interfere with, or overload the Service.
5. Data Ownership and Privacy
You retain ownership of your data. By using HauntShift, you grant us a limited license to store and process data solely to operate and improve the Service. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Intellectual Property
All HauntShift trademarks, software, designs, and content are owned by HauntShift or its licensors. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or reverse-engineering is prohibited.
7. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features require a paid plan. Payment terms, billing cycles, and cancellations will be displayed at checkout. Payments are generally non-refundable unless required by law.
8. Termination
HauntShift may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these Terms. You may also request termination by emailing support@hauntshift.com.
8A. SMS Messaging Terms
- By providing your mobile phone number and explicitly opting in, you consent to receive recurring operational SMS messages from HauntShift SMS Notifications. These messages may include schedules, shift assignments, schedule changes, attendance reminders, staffing requests, emergency alerts, event communications, and account notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of employment or participation. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
- Users must provide a mobile number they are authorized to use.
- Users must notify HauntShift if their number changes or is reassigned.
- Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Message delivery is subject to network availability and successful transmission by the user's wireless carrier.
- After replying STOP, users may receive one final confirmation message.
- HauntShift may modify or discontinue the SMS program.
- Updated SMS-specific terms will be posted at HauntShift SMS Terms and Conditions.
- SMS messages are sent only to users who have explicitly opted in. Users may revoke consent at any time by replying STOP or by updating their notification preferences within HauntShift, where available. Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS consent records, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data is not sold or rented.

9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." HauntShift does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or error-free functionality.
10. Limitation of Liability
HauntShift and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HauntShift, its officers, and partners from any claim or loss resulting from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
12. Modifications
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
